Embraer on saanut kaupaksi 100 Phenom300E-bisnesjettiä listahinnaltaan 1,2 miljardia dollaria, ostajana NetJets. Korona-aikana bisnesjettien kysyntä on noussut huomattavasti ja Embraerin ensi vuoden tuotanto on jo myyty, joten nämä koneet toimitetaan vuonna 2023.

Textron Aviation has delivered its 8,000th Cessna Citation, the airframer announced today. The milestone aircraft, a Citation Longitude, was delivered at a special ceremony at the OEM’s headquarters in Wichita to customer Scotts Miracle-Gro. The super-midsize twinjet is the fifth Cessna Citation in the lawn-and-garden product manufacturer’s fleet.

The first Citation 500 was delivered in 1972 to American Airlines. Since then, more than 30 Citation models have been certified over the more than 50-year history of the brand. Six Citation models are in production, representing the light, midsize, and super-midsize categories of business jets: M2 Gen2, CJ3+, CJ4 Gen2, XLS Gen2, Latitude, and Longitude.

Learjet-liikesuihkukoneita on vuodesta 1964 alkaen myyty yli 3000 kappaletta, mutta viime vuosina myyntimäärät ovat laskeneet, ja Bombardier on nyt lopettanut Learjettien valmistamisen. The final Learjet 75 rolled out of a Bombardier Wichita hangar Monday afternoon headed to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for delivery to a customer of Northern Jet Management. Just a few hours earlier, the light jet’s departure followed a 30-minute-long ceremony marking the delivery and the end of 60 years of Learjet production.

More than 3,000 Learjet aircraft have been delivered since the company, under the helm of founder Bill Lear, delivered the first Learjet 23 from Wichita in 1964. Bombardier expects to hold a larger ceremony led by CEO Eric Martel marking the legacy of the Learjet and the future of the Wichita site in mid-April. In addition to Learjet production, the Wichita site’s operations include a service center, engineering, and special mission aircraft.

Exclusive Jets, operating as flyExclusive, has entered an agreement with Textron Aviation to purchase up to 30 Cessna Citation CJ3+ light twinjets, the Wichita airframer announced today. Under the agreement, charter operator flyExclusive expects to take delivery of the first five CJ3+s in 2023, with an option to purchase more of the type for deliveries through 2025.

According to Textron Aviation, the order is expected to support flyExclusive’s Jet Club, Partner, and new fractional program. The Kinston, North Carolina-based Part 135 operator is one of the largest Citation operators in the world. FlyExclusive’s fleet of 85 light, midsize, super-midsize, and large-cabin jets include Citation Xs, Sovereigns, Excel/XLSs, CJ3s, and Encores. The list price of a CJ3+ is $9.91 million without customization.

Global flights on business aircraft rose by 10 per cent in 2022 from the previous year and were 14 per cent higher than before the pandemic in 2019. Demand for private jets had been “record-breaking” for the past two years.

Demand remains strong despite rising costs and concerns about private planes’ far higher rates of carbon emissions per passenger than commercial aircraft or trains.

Almost three-quarters of private jet flyers expect to fly the same amount this year, according to a recent report by Honeywell. Only 4 per cent said they expected to fly less.

Dassault is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its business jet line, the first of which, called the Mystère 20 before being rebranded the Falcon 20, completed its inaugural flight on May 4, 1963. To date, the line includes 27 different model types with more than 2,700 aircraft delivered.
