Spottaamisesta Amsterdamin kentällä

1 viesti aiheessa

Old Jets-postilistalla oli seuraava selvitys spottaamisesta Schipolissa (en ala kääntämään):

Applies to both MIL -and CIV-spotters as Amsterdam also has some military

traffic at times. Remember the E-4 and the French KC-135? Plus the various

VIP-flights...

Taken from the Scramble Messageboard. YES, you are still allowed to

photograph aircraft at Amsterdam Airport, but NO, you will not be getting

away anymore with parking or even stopping your car in areas in which

these actions are forbidden!

It's not often you see such a forthcoming, open, clear and honest message

by local police around a major airport..

Play by the rules below and you will be fine!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"for our non-dutch speakers: today, the Amsterdam section of this forum

received input from the Dutch police on the new security force operating

on the perimeter of the airport. My spotter-colleague Vinz already added a

translation of that message in the original thread, but as probably not

all of you understand the Dutch header of that thread ("eenheid BBS

Politie Kennemerland") it might be that the important message might be

lost. Therefore I translated it again and repeat the message here:

"My name is Wim Warmerdam and I am chief of the Unit BBS (Buiten Bewaking

Schiphol/Outside Surveillance Schiphol) of the Kennemerland Regional

Police. Our unit is tasked with surveillance and law-enforcement around

the perimeter of Schiphol. I have visited your forum and read your

reactions to the appearance of our Mercedes and Volkswagen Touareg SUV

vehicles in the area. Perhaps an explanation can go a long way in clearing

up some issues.

Our unit is part of the Kennemerland police force and works in close

co-operation with the KMar/Marechaussee (military police) and Amsterdam

Airport Schiphol. As such, we are a part of a chain of security measures

put in place in order to prevent attacks. Our team operates under

guidelines issued by the Dutch Home Office and Department of Justice and

is armed; therefore, we are capable of enforcing the law should the need

arise.

We have not been put in place to make life hard for you spotters, but

simply to guard and secure the airport. As a matter of fact, we see a

spotter as probably our best and foremost ally. This is precisely why our

team is actively seeking contact and dialogue with you. However, there are

a number of things that we will act upon; these are:

1. parking/stopping rules of motor vehicles will be enforced, so only park

your vehicles where this is legal.

2. at the present level of security, pedestrians, cyclists and such will

be tolerated near the perimeter if on public roads.

3. the airport and its perimeter are a security-sensitive area under Dutch

law; far-reaching authority has been given to us and will be employed if

necessary. Therefore, always carry a valid I/D (I/D card, passport,

driver's licence) with you.

4. Parking in front of the crash-gates will not be tolerated under any

circumstance.

I have noticed that a lot of you spotters know each other. Therefore,

anyone or anything "out of the ordinary" can be quickly identified by you.

In urgent situations, don't hesitate to call the "112" emergency response

number; for other reports, a special hotline is under development with the

airport. Finally, I would like to stress that I am prepared to meet up

with (a) representative(s) of the local spotting community to clarify

further if need be. Yours sincerely, Wim Warmerdam"
