Hello,

 

I am Martynas, VGC (Vintage Glider Club) member from Lithuania. I have a question:

 

In 1939 was the first Baltic aviation competition in Kaunas, Lithuania. Pilots from Finland had also participated in this competition.  I am looking for photos (mostly for color photos, but black and white is OK too) of glider called Bro-5 “Ruta” registration-LY-RUTA. The glider was mostly for aerobatic flying .it was painted in dark green. With this glider B.Oskinis participated in this competition. This is how it looks like:

Maybe pilots from your country had taken some photos of this glider during this event. Maybe it is possible to see them ?

 

I am not sure if some glider pilots from your country participated in this competition, but as I sad it was aviation competition. I know that was these people from Finland:

 

Pilots:  Aikala, Savonen-Sundstrom. Model pilots: Ellila, Cajan, Kivinen, Kukkonen

 

There was a plane VL-Viima.

 

So there were only plane and model pilots, but maybe some photos have slipped from your eyes from this competition. I have written to your aviation museum but I didn’t get answer.
