Pictures from Mount Isa (YBMA) and Cloncurry (YCCY) Airports

Photos from Mount Isa and Cloncurry last week.  Both are small towns that serve the mining industry.  Mount Isa has about 10 flight movements per day, Cloncurry has about four flight movements per day, mainly charter flights to fly miners in and out for work.

 

Here are photos from Mount Isa Airport.  Control Tower at Mount Isa Airport was deactivated many years ago and is not in use.

Photos from Cloncurry Airport which is famous in Australian Aviation history as the first ever Qantas flight landed in Cloncurry back in 1922.  The original hanger at Cloncurry Airport that was built for Qantas is still there today and I have photo of that hanger.
