Reutersin lähteiden mukaan GE:n leasingyhtiö GECAS on tilannut 12 A330neoa, joiden moottorit toimittaa GE:n kilpailija Rolls-Royce. Tilaus käsittää myös 13 A321XLR:ää. Tilaus on toistaiseksi nimeämättömien ostajien listalla Airbusin tilauskannassa.

Leasing giant GECAS, the aircraft leasing subsidiary of General Electric (GE.N), has ordered 25 Airbus (AIR.PA) aircraft including a rare purchase of jets powered by GE’s rival engine maker Rolls-Royce, two people familiar with the matter said.

The order includes 12 Airbus A330neo jets, for which Rolls-Royce (RR.L) is the sole engine supplier, and 13 A321XLR long-distance narrow-body jets. It was included in a new Airbus order tally but the name of the buyer was not immediately disclosed.

Dubai Airshow alkoi sunnuntaina, ja toistaiseksi on ollut varsin hiljaista tilausrintamalla, kun suuret yhtiöt eivät ilmeisesti tee isoja tilauksia tänä vuonna.

Kun Emirates sopi Airbusin kanssa A380-tilauksien peruutuksista, korvaavaksi tilaukseksi suunniteltiin 30 A350:tä sekä 40 A330neoa. Halpalentoyhtiö Air Arabia tilaa yhteensä 120 A320-koneperheen konetta. 20 koneista on A321XLR:ää, 73 on A320neoa ja 27 A321neoa.

Etihad tarvitsee kustannussäästöjä, mm. epäonnistuneista sijoituksistaa johtuen, ja ilmoittaa vähentävänsä 787-tilauksiaan 20:llä koneella. Jo aikaisemmin Etihad on peruuttanut myös19 kpl 777X:ää sekä 22 kpl A350:tä.

Abu Dhabi based Etihad Airlines has said it plans to take delivery of 20 fewer Boeing 787 Dreamliners than it had originally planned in an attempt to reduce costs.

The government-owned airline had already revised its order with the Seattle plane maker for 25 Boeing 777Xs down to just six aircraft. Just prior to the reduction in Boeing 777X aircraft, the Gulf airline reduced an order with Airbus for 42 A350s down to 20.

Nigerialainen aloitteleva lentoyhtiö Green Africa Airways on solminut aiesopimuksen 50:stä A220-300-koneesta. Aikaisemmin (v. 2018) yhtiö oli sopinut Boeingin kanssa 50 737 MAX 8:n ostosta ja 50 optiosta. Yhtiöllä ei ole edes wikipediasivua muulla kielellä kuin saksaksi, ja yhtiön omat nettisivut sisältävät vain yhden otsikkosivun eikä muuta. Lieneekö kyseessä "hauska nigerialaishuijaus?"

All Nippon Airways on jättänyt Boeingille tilauksen 15:stä 787 Dreamlinerista. Neljä koneista on 787-9 mallia ja loput 11 konetta 787-10 mallia. Lisäksi tilaukseen sisältyy vielä optio viiteen 787-9:ään. Uusiin koneisiin tulee RR Trentien sijasta GEnx-moottorit. Tilatut 787-10:t tulevat Japanin sisäisille reiteille korvaamaan 777-300 -koneita ja 787-9:t menevät kansainvälisille reiteille. Mikäli myös optiot toteutuvat, ANA:n 787-laivaston koko kasvaa yli 100 koneeseen.

Ryanairin O´Leary ja Airbus ovat keskustelleet alustavasti Airbus-konetilauksesta, mihin olisi vapaita slotteja vuonna 2025. Ryanairille ei Airbusseja ole tulossa, mutta Laudamotion, joka operoi A320-kalustolla, kyllä tarvitsisi lisää koneita ja mieluiten heti. Tosin O´Leary ei osta koneita, ellei "hinta ole oikea".

Leasingyhtiö Avolon on sekä peruuttanut tilauksia että siirtänyt niitä eteenpäin. Avolon on peruuttanut 75 Boeing 737 Maxia ja neljä A330neoa. Yhdeksän A320-sarjalaista siirretään vuoteen 2027.

Venäläinen Red Wings -lentoyhtiö, jonka taustalla häärii oligarkki Alexander Lebedev, ja jolla on omistuksia muun muassa Aeroflotissa, Ilyushin Financessa ja Sberbankissa, on määrätty hankkimaan Venäjän Ilmailu ja avaruusteollisuusyhtiö United Aircraft Corporationilta kaikkiaan 60 x  SSJ100 Superjet ja 16  x MC-21 kapearunkokoneita vuoden 2024 loppuun mennessä. Hankinnalla halutaan tukea Venäjän lentokoneteollisuutta.
