RAF:n hävittäjä saattoi puolisen tuntia sitten Qatar Airwaysin A330:n Manchesterin lentoasemalle. Lentäjä oli ilmoittanut ilmeisesti pommiuhasta .. Vielä ei ole tarkempia tietoja, mutta matkustajan video on ao. linkissä.

A passenger has been taken off a plane that was escorted into Manchester Airport by an RAF fighter jet after the pilot reported concerns about a possible device.

 

The plane had landed safely and investigation into the emergency continues. The plane is believed to be a Qatar Airways Airbus A330 flight.

 

Greater Manchester Police tweeted that officers were working to get other passengers off "as swiftly and safely as possible".

 

"The plane has been moved to allow specialist officers who are dealing with the incident to board," said another tweet.

 

Chief Superintendent John O'Hare said in a statement: "An incoming plane has been escorted into the airport by the Royal Air Force as a result of information received by the pilot about a possible device on board.

 

"We don't know how genuine this threat is but it is absolutely vital we deal with the situation as a full emergency.

Valitettavasti kyseessä oli todennäköisesti väärä pommiuhkaus, joka on johtanut tänään suureen pelastusoperaatioon ja sekoittanut koko Manchesterin lentokentän, raportoi Hesari päivitetyssä uutisessaan.
