Neuvottelujen katkettua LH:n lentäjät ovat taas lakossa, joka koskee sekä kaukolentoja (huomisesta aamusta klo 3 Saksan aikaa alkaen) että lyhyempiä lentoja (alkaa jo tänään klo 12 Saksan aikaa). 1000 lentoa on jo peruutettu tältä päivältä ja huomiselta, ja peruutukset kasaantuvat myös keskiviikolle ja torstaille.

 

The union said the Germany-wide strike would last from 12.00 CEST on December 1st to 23.59 CEST on December 2nd for short and medium-haul flights, and 03:00 CEST to 23:59 CEST on December 2nd for long-haul flights.

 

According to a list on the Lufthansa website, more than 1,000 flights have been cancelled, mostly on Monday and Tuesday, but a few also on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Pilots flying for Lufthansa Cargo will also strike from 03:00 CEST to 23:59 CEST on December 2nd. Flights at budget arm Germanwings will not be affected.

Jep ja huomenna pitäisi lentää Lufthansalla ARN-MUC ja keskiviikkona sama reitti takaisin ARN. Nyt on jo huominen lento peruttu ja odottelen uudesta tietoa.

 

Mutta aina on päässyt asiakkaalle ja kotiinkin, eli en jaksa hirveästi ottaa aiheesta ressiä. Kun lentelee jonkin verran niin aina joskus joku myöhästyy tai peruuntuu tai muuta. Sain onneksi tiedon Lufthansalta viestillä jo eilen, niin ei tarvinnut kohdata tilannetta Arlandassa.

Lufthansan lentäjät aloittavat huomenna torstaina jälleen uuden lakon, joka koskee kaukolentoja ja rahtilentoja, muttei lyhyen/keskipitkän matkan lentoja. Lentäjät sanovat jatkavansa lakkoilua ensi vuoden puolelle. Lufthansan edustaja sanoo, että istutaan alas ja haetaan ratkaisu. Lufthansa ei kuitenkaan aio suostua siihen, mitä lentäjät vaativat.

 

Aikamoinen pattitilanne?

 

Lufthansa pilots said they would strike again on Thursday on long-haul and cargo flights, after a two-day stoppage on Monday and Tuesday stranded thousands of people.

 

The Vereinigung Cockpit union said in a statement that short and medium-haul flights and those of budget carrier Germanwings would not be affected by the action on Thursday.

 

The strike, the ninth this year, forced Lufthansa to cancel close to half of its scheduled flights for Monday and Tuesday, affecting about 150,000 passengers.

 

Vereinigung Cockpit (VC), representing about 5,400 Lufthansa pilots, is fighting to retain a scheme allowing pilots to retire at 55 and still receive up to 60 percent of their pay before pension payments start at 65.

 

"We cannot keep doing this for the next year or two, we need to sit down and find a solution," Lufthansa spokeswoman Barbara Schaedler told Reuters.

 

Pilots however showed no sign of backing down, with VC board member Joerg Handwerg saying it could continue its walkouts into next year.
