Ranskassa lakkoillaan jälleen kerran ensi viikolla. Lennonjohtajien lakko vaikuttaa paitsi Ranskaan suuntautuviin lentoihin, myös muihin lentoihin, jotka normaalisti lentäisivät Ranskan ilmatilan kautta. Myös lentokenttätyöntekijät lakkoilevat ja rautatieliikenne ja Pariisin julkinen liikenne saavat osansa lakkotoimenpiteistä. Lakoilla vastustetaan hallituksen suunnittelemia työsuhdelainsäädännön uudistuksia.

 

French trade unions are expected to take increased action from Wednesday, June 1, as part of an ongoing programme of strikes, which has also included the blockading of fuel depots and refineries.

 

Planned action includes stoppages by air traffic controllers and airport workers from June 2-5, national rail workers from June 1 and on the Paris transport system from June 2. Strikes are being held in protest at the French government's planned reforms of employment laws.

Huhtikuisen uutisen mukaan Ranskan lennonjohtajat ovat lakkoilleet v. 2009 jälkeen kaikenkaikkiaan 44 lakkopäivän verran, eli puolitoista kuukautta, ja lisää on siis tulossa.

Ranskan lennonjohtajat lakkoilevat taas kerran huomenna 28.6. Kyseessä on kahdestoista lakko 13 viime viikon sisällä ja 52. lakko vuoden 2009 jälkeen. Pelkästään Ryanairilta peruuntuu lentoja 30000 matkustajan verran.

 

Ryanair regrets that it has been forced to cancel 166 flights on Tuesday (28 June), to/from and over France, in what will be the 52nd French strike since 2009, and 12th in the past 13 weeks. 30,000 Ryanair customers will have their flights cancelled tomorrow, and over 100,000 others will suffer severe delays while this ATC union again (for the 12th time in 13 weeks) closes the skies over Europe.

Over 300 European flights are expected to be canceled July 5 during another French air traffic control (ATC) walkout. European lobby group Airlines for Europe (A4E) warned that more than 200,000 passengers will be affected by the strike action.

 

“The strike is expected to last for 35 hours and will see more than 200 flight cancellations—delays and time-consuming detours not included.

France has been hit with another wave of public sector strikes as another union voted in favour of industrial action, causing the cancellations of hundreds of flights across Europe.

The action will affect France's air traffic control system, one of the busiest in the world, from this evening until Wednesday, after the USA-CGT union issued a call to strike in protest at Emmanuel Macron's labour reforms.

Airlines including British Airways (BA), Easyjet, Aer Lingus, Ryanair and Flybe all warned of the impact of the action on their flight schedules.

Tänä vuonna lakkoja on jo ollut enemmän (14 päivää) kuin koko viime vuonna yhteensä (13 päivää). Kaikenkaikkiaan, vuodesta 2010 lukien Ranskan lennonjohtajat ovat olleet lakossa peräti 275 kertaa Lentoyhtiöiden yhdistys Airlines for Europe (A4E) vaatii lentomatkustajille parempaa suojaa lennonjohtolakkoja vastaan.

The French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) has asked airlines flying to and from several airports in France to reduce their flight schedules by 30 per cent in advance of the strike, forcing the cancellation of around 550 flights by A4E airlines and directly impacting around 75,000 passengers. The air traffic controllers’ strike over wages and growing staff shortages has led the Direction générale de l’Aviation civile (DGAC) to call on airlines in France to cancel half of their flights this Friday (September 16) to avoid disruption. 

The cancellations will affect airports across France and will run from 06:00 on Friday until 06:00 on Saturday (September 17).

Air France has announced that 55% of its short- and medium-haul flights will be cancelled on Friday (September 16) in line with the request.
