Ryanairin irlantilaisten pilottien liiton Forsan mukaan välitysmiehen avulla on päästy alustavaan sopimukseen 22 tuntia kestäneen hieronnan jälkeen. Sopimus menee kuitenkin ensin jäsenäänestykseen. Välitysmiehen pyynnöstä tarkempia tietoja sovituista yksityiskohdista ei toistaiseksi kerrota, ennenkuin äänestyksen tulos on selvillä.

Ryanair has taken a significant step forward in ending the strikes that have hit its peak-season flights, reaching an agreement with the trade union representing its Irish pilots after a 22-hour session of talks.

Passengers have faced hundreds of flight cancellations this summer because of pilot protests against the slow progress in negotiating collective agreements on conditions, base transfers and annual leave.

Ammattiliitto ja neuvotteluissa mukana olleet Forsaan kuuluvat Ryanairin pilotit suosittelevat sopimuksen hyväksymistä. Ryanairin johtokunta taas käsittelee äänestyksen lopputulosta, kun se on selvillä.

Pilottien ammattiliitot ympäri Eurooppaa seuraavat tarkasti neuvotteluja. Hollantilainen liitto VNV ehti jo sanoa, että heillä on eri prioriteetit ja irlantilaisten sopimus ei välttämättä muuta heidän tilannettaan.

“The proposed agreement will now go to ballot, with a recommendation for acceptance from Fórsa and its Ryanair pilot representatives,” the pilots’ union Fórsa said in a statement on Thursday, adding that the mediator asked that neither side makes further comment while the ballot is conducted.

Ryanair said it would take the proposals to its board after the Irish-based pilots had voted on the agreement.

Other trade unions mired in negotiations around Europe are watching the Irish talks closely. The Dutch pilots union, VNV, said Thursday’s agreement would not necessarily change its situation as it had “different priorities”.

Ryanairin yli 300 italialaista lentäjää ovat sopineet kollektiivisopimuksen, joka on jäsenäänestyksessä hyväksytty, kertoo ammattiliitto ANPAC. Kyseessä on yhtiön ensimmäinen jäsenten hyväksymä sopimus.

Italian pilots have approved an agreement over working conditions with Ryanair in the first such deal the strike-hit low-cost aviation giant has fully concluded.

The agreement, reached earlier this month following eight months of talks, gives Italy-based pilots working for Ryanair "protection and guarantees", according to the ANPAC union which negotiated the collective work contract.

"The contract was submitted for approval by the more than 300 pilot members and after a tallying of the results (Monday night) the contract received a very large majority" of votes, said the union.

The agreement is the first that Ryanair has signed and which has been been approved by union members since the Irish airline caved in last year and said it would recognise trade unions.

Ryanair on nyt tunnustanut irlantilaisen ammattiliiton Forsan myös Ryanairin Irlannissa suoraan palkkaaman matkustamomiehistön edustajaksi neuvotteluissa, joissa pyritään sopimaan mm. kollektiivisopimuksesta. Vähän kerrallaan päästään siis eteenpäin.

Jo aikaisemmin Ryanair on hyväksynyt lentoemäntien ja stuerttien liitot Italiassa (ANPAC, ANPAV ja Fit-Cisl), Englannissa (Unite) ja Saksassa (Ver.di) neuvottelukumppaneiksi.

Ryanairin irlantilaiset pilotit ovat hyväksyneet jäsenäänestyksessä neuvotteluissa saavutetun sopimuksen, joten näyttää siltä, että lakot tulevat päättymään.. Ryanairin johtokunnan pitää vielä puolestaan hyväksyä lopputulos. Johtokunta saattaa myös peruuttaa päätöksensä siirtää talveksi kuusi konetta Dublinista Puolaan.

Members of the Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association, part of the Forsa union, voted unanimously to accept new working conditions.

Union spokesman Captain Joe May said: “After decades of declining terms and conditions, pilots in Ryanair have now firmly found a unified voice.

Ryanair said it would now reconsider its plans to relocated aircraft from Dublin Airport to Poland.

“We will now bring this agreement to the board and will ask them reconsider their decision to rebase six aircraft away from Dublin this winter,” it said.

Nyt on Ryanairin sakasalaisten pilottien vuoro järjestää 24 tunnin lakko, koska neuvottelut eivät ole edenneet. Lakko alkaa 12. syyskuuta klo 03.01 aamulla  ja päättyy 13. syyskuuta klo 02.59 paikallista aikaa, kertoo pilotteja edustava Vereinigung Cockpit-ammattiliitto.

In the latest skirmish between the Irish airline and its pilots, the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) union has called its pilot members out from 03:01 (3.01am) on Wednesday, September 12th until Thursday, September 13th at 02:59 (2:59am) local time.

VC said it has been demanding improvements on pay and working conditions for months, but Ryanair has not issued an improved offer.

Ryanair (RYA.I) has said it hopes to secure deals with several pilot unions in the coming months in an effort to bring a wave of industrial rest under control.

But the European Cockpit Association (ECA) said in a statement the decision by the airline to close bases in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and Bremen, Germany, while also reducing capacity in the German region of Niederrhein, threatened to “seriously exacerbate” tensions.

“Closing down a base and moving your employees to a different country is not compatible with social dialogue. Ryanair ja saksalaisten lentäjien ammattiliitto Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) ovat lopultakin päässeet lähemmäksi sopimusta, joka lopettaisi lakot. Sopimus olisi 4-vuotinen ja koskisi palkkaa, palkankorotuksia, eläkettä, vuosilomaa, senioriteettia ja muita vastaavia asioita ja sopimukseen sovellettaisiin Saksan työlainsäädäntöä kaikkien Saksan tukikohdissa työskentelevien lentäjien kohdalla.

Tyypillistä Ryanairia on kuitenkin se, että yksityiskohtaisista ehdoista sovitaan vasta 28 helmikuuta mennessä ja yritysneuvosto, ts. se ryhmä työntekijöitä, joka neuvottelee työnantajan kanssa, perustetaan vasta maaliskuussa 2019. Lisäksi Ryanair on saanut lentäjät lupaamaan, etteivät he mene lakkoon tällä välin.

Ryanair has reached an agreement with its German pilots' union after a tumultuous few months characterized by industrial action across Europe as unions seek to apply national labor laws to employee contracts.

The Irish LCC announced Dec. 4 that it had signed a framework agreement with Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) covering pay and benefits. The four-year deal includes pay, pension and pilot allowances, as well as other benefits involving seniority, annual leave and base transfer systems.

Ryanair said the agreement will deliver basic pay increases, a five on/four off roster and will apply German labor law to all its Germany-based pilots. Detailed terms and conditions will be concluded by February 28.

The agreement follows a deal struck in November with the airline's German cabin crew union, Verdi, in which Ryanair also agreed to apply German labor law along with pay increases and other benefits over a two-year period.

VC said their agreement includes a timeline for a social plan and a works council to be established by the end of March. The union has agreed to not initiate any strike action during this time.

The two sides are working toward signing four collective labor agreements, based on German law, by March 2019.
