Hello! I'm going to acquire a PPL license. I'm considering Aeropole for a theoretical part, but their flight hours are quite expensive.

Do I understand right that I can hire any independent certified instructor to log my 35 mandatory dual flight hours with him?

Hi,

Instructor alone can't give training for PPL(A), either ATO (Approved training organisation) or DTO (Declared training organisation) is required for the training. If you stay in Helsinki area, perhaps you could join to Malmin Ilmailukerho ry (Malmi aviation club) and do the training in the club.

It seems(?) that they have their website only in Finnish at the moment, but you can contact their "training officer" by email koulutus@mik.fi

Hi Tatu, thank you for your prompt reply. I wrote to MIK some months ago, they never replied. I suppose there is no tuition in English.

They don't have theory course in English, but there shouldn't be problem for the flight training in English.

I'm sorry that we failed to reply to your email, I've just send you a reply.  Yes, we do flight training also in English. What comes to theory training we use partners that provide distance learning both in English and Finnish.
