Hello!

The United States division will handle out a Real Flight Event (RFE) in Dallas/Fort Worth (KDFW/DFW) airport in Saturday, January 25th, 2014, from 1600Z (1000AM CST) to 0400Z (1000PM CST). We have hundreds of flights available to give you a most realistic experience as possible, with plenty of traffic and ATC service.

How to participate?

As a pilot: Go to RFE Website and book your flight! Don't forget to read the Pilot Briefing.

As an ATC: If you hold a GCA for US, please, send an e-mail to us-ec@ivao.aero saying at least your intended position and time frame that you intend to be on duty. We'll make a process and confirm your position in the week before the event.

We hope to see you with us!

It's that time of year again, IVAO UK along with many of the major IVAO European/American Divisions welcome you to the next Atlantic Crossing event. We will be departing Europe and heading westbound across the pond towards Canada & Florida.

We have a whole load of European Airports you can fly from. They are:

- EGKK – London Gatwick

- EBBR - Brussels International Airport

- ELLX – Luxembourg Airport

- EHAM - Amsterdam Airport

- EKCH - Copenhagen Airport

- LFPG - Paris Charles De Gaulle

- LIMC – Milan Malpensa

- LIPZ – Venezia Tessera

- LEMD - Madrid–Barajas Airport

- LPPT – Lisbon Airport

- LPLA – Larjes Airport

- ENZV – Stavanger

- ENGM – Oslo Gardermoen

- KMIA - Miami International Airport

- KMCO – Orlando International Airport

- CYYZ – Toronto Pearson Airport

- CYUL - Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport

Pilots who depart from any of the European airports, will route via Shanwick and Gander for the Atlantic crossing. The route will be fully staffed for the entire crossing to ensure realism for all involved! Please note that departures from Madrid, Lisbon and Larjes will route through Santa Maria towards New York Oceanic and that way to America.

During the event the will you meet up with pilots from all the other divisions and head across the Atlantic on certain tracks toward Canada. This will hopefully give you a taste of what is like in real life as all the long haul aircrafts fly across the Atlantic to Canada and America.

We would encourage pilots to fly in groups with their division to ensure the event is as fun as possible for all pilots and gives everybody a mini-event within the main huge Atlantic Crossing event.

This year we are introducing time slots for all pilots to obtain their clearances and gain entry into the tracks which are split into divisions. We strongly advise all pilots to stick to these as much as possible to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible. Failure to do so may cause a significant backlog and delays with the oceanic entry. Please see the time slots below;

Dear pilots

The main sport event of this year – XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Famous ski resorts and Olympic park are already waiting for guests. Thousands of athletes, volunteers and spectators from around the world will come to Black Sea’s coast, thus we’re expecting intensive traffic in the air. Even though it’ll be cold enough in mountains, at Sochi airport, which will work at peak level, will be very hot, therefore the best ATCs from Russian division will work for you. Nevertheless we recommended to all pilots to take enough fuel for several holding and possible diversion.

Every pilot will receive 1 point for Pilot Events Award

PE.gif after booking your flight in IVAO booking system and successfully performing your flight to Sochi. In total you can earn maximum 1 point for this event. Pilots, who will take part at least in 2 out of 3 planned events, which are related to Winter Games in Sochi, will receive Aviation Celebration Tours and Events Award. In order to receive award, you should send report in MODA Lite (section File My Report, then PILOTSEVENTS)AC.gif. In remarks write down the name of the event and ATC positions, which you contacted. Reports should be sent in division tours'

system.

Ever since the early 2000's, The Real Heathrow has been a massive hit on IVAO. This year IVAO UK are bringing you the best yet. With the new 7 hour time period IVAO UK will be bringing you over 500 movements during for the day. All flights can booked using our NEW RFE website.

We expect it to be busy, so we ask all pilots book their flights – expect delays if you don’t have a booking.

Make sure you are fully prepared for the busy environment at London Heathrow, have a read over our Pilot briefing guide.

If you like to be number 6 on the ILS, taxi behind 4 other aircraft towards the runway or join a holding pattern with several other aircraft, then this is the event for you. Flying with IVAO does not get more real than this.

Pilots & Flight Bookings

Due to the expected volume of traffic only flights listed on our schedule will be guaranteed a landing slot at Heathrow. The only exception will be VA flights which have made prior arrangements with the UK Events staff. All other flights may be accepted subject to slot availability but could be diverted to Amsterdam, Brussels, Gatwick or Stansted.

Why not book your flight, click here to enter the RFE page.

Performance

There will be a lot of aircraft on the ground in Heathrow. To avoid frame rate problems on approach, which will cause severe delays, you must reduce your aircraft display distance to 10-15 miles and limit the amount of aircraft IvAp will draw to something your system will handle. We recommend 10-15 as a maximum for most average systems. Pilots using low-end systems are advised to reduce rendering settings as much as possible.

Last year 10% of all inbounds crashed on downwind due to frame rate issues.

IVAO UK look forward to welcoming you to the next episode of The Real Heathrow.

THE MAY REVOLUTION - FLY IN (SAEZ)

The May Revolution (Spanish: Revolución de Mayo) was a week-long series of events that took place from May 18 to 25, 1810, in Buenos Aires, capital of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata. This Spanish colony included roughly the territories of present-day Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. The result was the removal of Viceroy Baltasar Hidalgo de Cisneros and the establishment of a local government, the Primera Junta (First Junta), on May 25.

The May Revolution began the Argentine War of Independence, although no formal declaration of independence was issued at the time and the First Government Meeting (Primera Junta) continued to govern in the name of the deposed king, Ferdinand VII. As similar events occurred in many other cities of the continent, the May Revolution is also considered one of the early events of the Spanish American wars of independence. Historians today debate whether the revolutionaries were truly loyal to the Spanish crown or whether the declaration of fidelity to the king was a necessary ruse to conceal the true objective—to achieve independence—from a population that was not yet ready to accept such a radical change. A formal declaration of independence was finally issued at the Congress of Tucumán on July 9, 1816.

Tällaisen huomasin: EFHK kuuluu Grand Prix World Tour 2014:n legeihn eli kesällä odotettavissa hieman enemmän liikennettä.

Nyt on kyseinen legi avautunut ja EFHK varmaankin ensimmäistä kertaa ikinä Most Popular Airport (17/4)
