Tuohan on todella helppo tehdä, siihenhän pitää vaan lisätä aircraft.cfghen se oikea rivi, olisikohan se nyt ollut [sMOKESYSTEM] tms. ja numerot mistä kohtaan savu tulee.  :)

This is the way "my" machine looks now. Basically the exterior work is in what-may-be-called-ok status, gears (just dummies in the image) & prop missing though.

kuinkas se paneeli etenee?

Paneeli ei hirveästi ole noista viime kuvista edennyt, mitä nyt vähän bitmappien päivitystä ja muuta pientä.

 

Lentomallia olen nyt viime viikot yrittänyt kehitellä vaihtelevalla menestyksellä. Varsinkin moottori tuottaa päänvaivaa. Muuten alkaakin pikkuhiljaa melkein tuntua lähes suurinpiirtein hyvältä. :P

Tuossa keväämmällä sitten kokeillaan nauhotella vähän ääniä. :)

I have no idea whatsoever of what you guys are talking about, but I seriously hope that Oskari are not thinking of using that sound for the engine...  :o (btw, I currently run the Cub-sound... better than the C172).

 

Anyway.

No pistetäänpäs nyt taas muutama kuva paneelista, vaikka ei mitään suurta edistystä olekaan tapahtunut. :)

Koko paneeli + polttoainehana ja trimmi, laippavipu on vielä kateissa.

Otetaanpa vielä tarkemman syynäyksen kohteeksi radio, minkä kehittelyyn onkin mennyt sitten jo muutama tovi. Vehje on nimeltään Filser ATR500.

Hi!

 

A question regarding animations - does anyone know the "proper term" for the choke? A choke is not a standard FS animated object, as throttle or flaps lever, which might be due to that choke has no function in FS (or has it?). So, to simulate the choke in the EV97, I need to know what term to use instead. Mixture?

EDIT: I notice that the choke is not present in Oskaris panel, might that be why the engine dies when I idle the throttle?  ;)

Hi!

 

Ok, Primer does not do it for me, it kind of pumps the fuel but that looks odd to us who know what the choke looks like. I´m thinking of copying the throttle or mixture XML-code and make a dummy, since it anyway has no real effect in FS. The same also applies to all the "unused" swithes (dunno why Evektor has that config really...).

Hi!

 

We got a VC!  ;D

I know it does not look as much, but considering how hard it actually was to figure out how to make the instruments work in the VC (or, really, was it that hard?) I am quite pleased to show the first pic of the interior model!

 

Please don´t pay attention to the quite crudely modelled details, there is still a lot to do, but actually, I did not think I would get this far! Oskari. you got mail!  :)

Hi again!

 

I hope that Erik do not mind me posting his image in this forum, but I actually felt so proud when I saw this picture that I felt I just had to share it with you.

This is how the model looks in FSX. As you can see the model is not complely textured, and there is still some trim to be added, the texture is just in "base" state. But still it to me looks really good, much better than I ever felt I could accomplish. I just wish I did not have to go to work so that I could be at home, finishing it all so that I could just fly & enjoy!  :)

Hi & thanks!

 

Well, as you can see I have a pilot, but he´s not really adapted to the model just yet (his too small feet don´t reach the pedals, which looks quite funny to be honest). If permission is granted I´ll ad a cap, a headset and a pair of sunglasses, and adjust his build & stance so that he fits the plane. Even if it means that he´ll be 2.10 m long and thin as a stick...  ;) I will not animate him more than the headmovement.

 

So, yes, if you have a pilot I´d love to take a look at him (or her!). But the immediate need is fulfilled.

Actually, if the pilot was animated according to flight control movements, it would make this plane a very useful demonstration tool for flight training. Worth thinking, perhaps, not just "eyecandy"...

Hi!

 

I would really like to have a true-to-life pilot, the problem is that machines are quite easy to model, but a good, life-like human body, is really a "bump in the road ahead"... It might be a feature that could be included in V2, if there will be one?  :)

Even a stick-man would do the job, to just demonstrate how the controls work. Maybe it is possible to use the tailhook anim or something else to show/hide the stick figure even? It'd look prettu ugly otherwise :) Or maybe someone here can help?
